God Calls Us To Hard Things

Thomas Cruthis

God calls us to difficult things, but He never leaves us to face them alone. Through Jeremiah's calling in chapter 1, we see that God establishes our appointment before explaining the challenges ahead. When He calls us to hard conversations, costly obedience, or uncomfortable changes, He provides His presence, protection, words, reminders of His character, accountability, and supernatural strength. The most difficult calling might be simply surrendering and saying yes to whatever God asks. Our obedience doesn't depend on feeling ready or seeing results, but on the certainty that the God who calls us also equips and sustains us through every step.
