Intro to Jeremiah

The Book of Jeremiah reveals God's faithfulness during one of Israel's darkest periods. Jeremiah prophesied for 40 years (627-586 BC) as the nation spiraled into spiritual, political, and social decay. Despite repeated warnings through multiple prophets, the people rejected God's messages and embraced idolatry. God's judgment through Babylon fulfilled ancient promises from Deuteronomy, demonstrating His faithfulness to both bless obedience and judge rebellion. Jeremiah teaches us to discern true revival from mere reform, recognize our own idolatrous tendencies, trust in God's eternal Word, understand biblical success, and obey God regardless of personal cost.
