How to Discern Truth in a World Full of Deception

Jesus warns us about false prophets who appear harmless but are actually dangerous deceivers. In Matthew 7:15-20, He teaches that we can identify these false teachers by examining their fruit - their character, beliefs, and the disciples they produce. In our digital age, we need practical tools to evaluate the countless spiritual messages we encounter. The SIFT method (Stop, Investigate the source, Find the sources, Turn) provides a framework for discernment. By developing this spiritual discernment, we protect ourselves and others from deception while ensuring we're following teachers who produce good spiritual fruit.
