Midweek Theology: Who is the One True God?

This week, we transition from bibliology to Theology Proper, the study of God Himself. Adventure Club's question for this coming Sunday is: "Who is the one true God?" To answer this question, they will look at 1 Kings 17, where the LORD, the God of the Bible, shows Himself to be the one true God as Elijah faces off with the prophets of Baal. 

Our theology resource for this week will be Elijah and Syncretism, as it provides an overview for parents or guardians who have children in Adventure Club so that it can encourage faith talks throughout next week after Sunday night's lesson. It is also appropriate for us as we look to the Bible as we begin our systematic study of who God is, the One true God who is like no other and rightly demands our exclusive obedience and affection.
