A Sobering Message (Daniel 5:1-31)

In Daniel chapter 5, King Belshazzar of Babylon hosts a grand feast using sacred vessels taken from the Jerusalem temple, dishonoring God. During the celebration, a mysterious hand appears and writes a message on the wall. Daniel is called to interpret it, warning that Belshazzar's kingdom is about to fall due to his arrogance and failure to honor God, which is fulfilled that very night when Babylon is conquered. In this ghostly tale we find an important truth for helping us demonstrate our love for God.
